Information Theory is an interesting area which covers how information is measured and applied, especially in digital communication. However, this area is not so popular like other areas under Computer Science, e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Programming, which I think one main factor is due to its heavy mathematical components. Thus, in contrast to most of the books in Information Theory which are heavy with mathematical theorems and notations, this book tries to introduce concepts of Information Theory in a more light manner to encourage the readers to delve more on the area, to know and understand its concepts and their importance. In this book, explanations on concepts and techniques done more through showing how to solve cases/problems in this area with step-by-step procedures using minimal mathematical components.
